WEAR TV weekend news

Crime waves continues. WEAR TV reports on home invasion and car jackings.

Home Invasion
Escambia County deputies are looking for two armed men, who broke into a home and shot at a father and his daughter.
Just before 8 last night, deputies say two men with guns forced their way through the front door of the home in the 800 block of Lu-Cerne.
The homeowner grabbed his daughter and ran out a side door and that’s when shots were fired.
Luckily no one was injured. The two men then left the scene in a Camaro and have not been found. If you have any information on the home invasion call Crimestoppers at 433-STOP.

Car Jackings
Escambia deputies are also looking for two car jackers.
Just after midnight, they were called to the intersection of Airport and Hancock Lane.
A driver said two men opened his car door, hit him in the head twice with a handgun and then attempted to choke him.
After they pulled him from his vehicle they drove away in the 1992 white Cadillac.
