Weekend Buzz: Forum on Crime and Education, First Digital Town Hall meeting

Commissioner May wants to discuss crime, neighborhoods and education
Escambia County Commissioner Lumon May, District 3, will hold a town hall meeting on Tuesday, April 22, at 6 p.m., at the Brownsville assembly of God, Reception Hall, 3100 West Desoto Street. The topics are Crime, Education and Neighborhoods. Special guests will Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward, Sheriff David Morgan and Superintendent Malcolm Thomas who will join him for an open forum discussion.

This is the third town hall meeting Commissioner May has held in this district this month.

Hayward will hold Facebook Town Hall meeting
Mayor Ashton Hayward has had posted on his Facebook page that he will hold his first Digital Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, April 23 starting a 10 a.m.:

Please join me this Wednesday, April 23rd, for my Digital Town Hall! Starting at 10:00 am that morning, you will be able to submit YOUR questions right here on my Facebook page throughout the day!

Hayward held his last “”Taking City Hall to the Citizens” town hall meeting for District 5 on Dec. 16, 2013. His last “Morning with the Mayor was three months ago. The digital version will be much safer for him.
