What is the point?

Okay, I’ve read parts of the daily newspaper’s series on abandoned buildings -“Building on the Past.” Other than Mayor Ashton Hayward’s plan for the Blount school, I don’t see anyone building. What I see are a bunch of people who got upside down on their investments in these old buildings. Some buildings have gone through so many owners, that the ownership chain reads like a game of hot potato with the last owner getting stuck.

Maybe the daily newspaper can tie all these stories together in an editorial and offer a suggestion on what they want to see done.
