White posts $112K for House District 2, raised in one week

Political newcomer Frank White posted impressive numbers for his first campaign report – $111,970. And he raised the money in only five business days.

White’s candidacy is somewhat dependent on what office State Senator Greg Evers decides to pursue. If Evers runs for anything other than State Senate District 2, State Rep. Mike Hill, who currently serves House District 2, will run for the Senate, leaving an open seat for White to seek.

White has previously said that he will not run for the House seat, if Hill runs for another term in the Florida House.

Since the first of the year, Rep. Hill has only raised $9,250 – all from PACs and lobbyists.

White’s campaign contributions list is as who’s who of Pensacola. And to show he is serious about the Florida House race, White and his wife loaned $50,000. The balance came from 105 locals:
