Whitehead wants Perdido

Rumor has it.  Escambia Co. Commissioner Mike Whitehead wants to redraw his district lines before the 2008 election. He believes Perdido Key (which is currently the Valentino-Roberts district) will help him get re-elected so he want it moved to his district.

In 2004 Whitehead barely beat Wilson Robertson and won once with less than a majority of the vote.

Let’s watch the commission agenda closely.
