The Pensacola City Council members have sent in their nominations.
The ballot for council president has Charles Bare, Jewel Cannada-Wynn, Megan Pratt and P.C. Wu. The vice president ballot has Bare, Cannada-Wynn and Pratt.
Councilwoman Sherri Myers nominated Bare for both positions. Councilman Brian Spencer nominated Cannada-Wynn for president. Councilman Larry Johnson nominated Cannada-Wynn and Pratt for president and vice president. Wu and Cannada-Wynn nominated themselves for president. Cannada-Wynn nominated Pratt for vice-president.
Council members Andy Terhaar, Gerald Wingate, Bare and Pratt made no nominations. However, nominations can be made from the floor.
The special meeting is set for Thursday, Nov. 26 at 9 a.m.

Will Mayor Ashton Hayward weigh in? He lobbied for DeWeese in 2010, Sam Hall in 2011 and Wu last year. He might just sit on the sidelines this year with his voting margin on the council so tight. He may save his “chits” for something else.
