Seminole County has a problem. In April, a fingerprint analyst was suspended with pay, mostly for identifying prints that other analysts have since said were inconclusive.
The Orlando Sentinel reports: “The analyst at the center of a growing fingerprint controversy worked for a boss who didn’t know fingerprinting, lavished the analyst with praise and let her supervise other print examiners, including one she got “rid of” for not finding enough prints and not making enough matches, according to Seminole County Sheriff’s Office records.”
