WSRE brings back ‘Rally 2016’

the “RALLY 2016” on-air candidate forum for the upcoming general elections in Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 25–26. To participate in the live broadcast, each candidate must demonstrate that he or she satisfies the candidate forum criteria for their particular race before 5 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Oct. 11.

Races include U.S. Congress District 1; Florida Senate District 1; Florida House Districts 1, 2 and 4; Escambia County Sheriff, School Superintendent, Tax Collector and County Commissioner Districts 1 and 3; Santa Rosa County Sheriff and County Commissioner Districts 1 and 3; and Okaloosa County Commissioner District 1.

The required criteria for each race are posted online at wsre.org/RALLY. Candidates must demonstrate satisfaction of the criteria via email to Kasey Jones at wsreadmin@wsre.org.

“RALLY 2016” is produced by WSRE in cooperation with the Pensacola Bay Area and Okaloosa County Leagues of Women Voters to give viewers an unbiased look at the candidates running for public office and an opportunity to hear their responses to questions on current issues. Mollye Barrows is the producer and will co-host the programs with WUWF’s Sandra Averhart.
