Occupy Pensacola expands protests, graffiti

Some of the Occupy Pensacola campers have wandered off of City Hall property and are protesting–with a megaphone and signs–in front of the Garden Street branch of Bank of America.

The worker was removing grafiti off the side of the SunTrust building, which is one block west of BOA. “Give us back what you took” is what the message looked to be.

On the Escambia County parking garage that opens on to Baylen and Intendencia streets was the four-ft. high graffiti “99%.”

I’m not sure this is what the Pensacola City Council had in mind when it authorized the camp at City Hall.

Its certainly possible that someone other than the protesters painted the Graffiti. I doubt if it were the religious nuts. I understand part of what the Occupy people are trying to say, much of it doesn’t compute with me. If they are protesting corruption in gov’t nd corporate greed, they could “occupy” a new location every day.
There is an element attaching to the occupy folks that makes it look really bad for the ones who are sensible and informed. Too bad for them. They need the unions to come in there and straighten out their finances, get donations and further their cause.

99 % have SOMETHING IMPORTANT to say via their megaphone…. Much better than those crazy religious nuts whom drag their kids to stand on street corners and shout dumb sick bible bull +”:*&%$#@. How do you know the artist and protestors are from city encampment????….I heard they are those north Davis street blue hair gang…
