From Duwayne Escobedo:

Myrtle Grove Volunteer Firefighters have e-mailed the Independent News Florida FireFighter 1 Certifications for Donald Snock and Trenton Williams that they obtained in November 2006. Williams, a captain, and Snock, a firefighter, were singled out in a report by the career firefighters as improperly fighting fires without certification in the Independent News, “Burning Down The House,” cover story April 5. Public records finally obtained from Escambia County on Thursday, April 5 (two weeks after requested by the IN and after the issue went to press) also show Snock and Williams being state certified.
