What’s up with Jerralds?

Pensacola City Councilman John Jerralds apologized at last night’s council meeting to BP for the council’s harsh response Monday to BP spokeswoman Liz Castro last Monday, according to the News Journal.

Jerralds is the same councilman that publicly attacked Ellis Bullock, Chamber and the Visitor Information Center over not having enough African-Americans in a YouTube video. He publicly chastised Gulf Power. Yet he loves BP, who is polluting the Gulf of Mexico and is responsible for the largest oil spill in US history.

Did he apologize because Castro is female? Because out of town companies should be given special treatment? Or because he wasn’t him giving the harsh response?

BTW: Jerralds, along with Jewel Cannada-Wynn, is doing everything that he can to squash Pensacola Promise. Again why? The program would give more children in their districts opportunities to go to college, give them hope for a better life. The two council members who should be champions for education are the biggest roadblocks. Both need to be replaced.
