Ritchie won’t take the bait

DeeDee Ritchie will not be filing today to run for House District 3 – despite polls giving her a 21-point lead. I spent an hour with her yesterday discussing the commitments made by the Democratic Caucus in Tallahassee and whether she should run for a position she held from 1998 to 2000.

In the end, she declined to run…but it wasn’t an easy decision for her. Expect her to reenter politics on some level in 2008.
