News: Every NWFL county is trying to protect bays

Orlando Sentinel reports: “Authorities now know they have a running, unpredictable battle on their hands as they struggle to protect the sea grasses and marshes along the Panhandle. And so some pass-protection systems are getting a lot more attention and money than others.”

…”We’re taking a lot of novel approaches in things that haven’t been done before, and we’ll have to see how effective it is,” Capt. Steven D. Poulin, U.S. Coast Guard sector commander.
