JEFF GREENE PROVIDES DOCUMENTS THAT PROVE BOAT STOP IN CUBA WAS FOR MECHANICAL REPAIRS
West Palm Beach, FL – Today, the Jeff Greene campaign provided the following documents which clarify that his stop in Cuba did not violate the law and was made to repair a hydraulics problem encountered en route to Honduras. During the stop, Greene visited Jewish synagogues.
The supporting documents include:
1. Legal opinion from Immigration Attorney, Roger A. Bernstein
2. Letter from Summerwind Chief-Engineer, Andy Valero
3. Receipts of parts purchased and for repairs made to Summerwind
The materials back Mr. Greene’s account that the stop in Cuba was not a legal violation and was due to a mechanical problem encountered during a trip to Honduras.
“As I have stated in the past, the stop in Cuba was due to a hydraulics problem we encountered en route to Honduras. During the stop, I visited Jewish synagogues and saw first-hand the plight and injustices that Cubans face. I regret that my first account confused the public but I’m glad to set the record straight,” said Greene.
