Early Voting Numbers Higher Than ’08

As of the end of the day on Aug. 15, 2,964 had voted in the primaries. In 2008, 1,949 voted in the first week.

Here are the voting numbers broken down:

—1,928 Republicans, 881 Democrats, and 155 others

—948 City of Pensacola voters

—County Commission Districts: 1—505; 2—640; 3—317; 4—1041; 5—461

Early voting will continue through Aug. 21 at four locations: Supervisor’s office, 213 Palafox Place (2nd floor); Supervisor’s Annex, 292 Muscogee Road, Cantonment; West Florida Genealogy Library, 5740 N. Ninth Ave.; and Southwest Branch Library, 12248 Gulf Beach Highway.

Hours of voting:

Monday, Aug. 16 through Saturday, Aug. 21 – 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The general primary election day is Aug. 24.
