Bobby Kennedy Jr. endorses Crist

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. flew down to Florida yesterday to endorse Gov. Charlie Crist for the U.S. Senate race. He praised fellow Democrat Kendrick Meek but said he was “unelectable.”

A Kennedy supporter told me last night that the environmentalists are moving into the Crist camp because they believe he is the only one who can beat Republican Marco Rubio in a head-to-head battle. However, when pressed, he said that the National Democratic Party won’t pressure Meek to drop out, because they believe Meek will bring blacks voters to the polls, which Alex Sink needs to beat Rick Scott in the governor’s race.

This is all too little too late.
