Okaloosa loses Stewart and Colbert show

Without the funding from a third $25 million grant from BP, the Okaloosa County Tourist Development Council had to scrap plans to bring in political comedians Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert. The TDC had planned to use $10 million of the BP funding to bring in Stewart and Colbert to perform live broadcasts from its beaches. Read more.

TDC assured the IN that the cancellation had nothing to do with a triathlon scheduled for the same weekend.
