The Saufley Landfill gets yet another extension to comply with DEP rules and environmental laws – thanks to Escambia County Circuit Judge Terry Terrell. The neighbors have been enduring that landfill’s smoke and fumes since 2005.
If the owners thought the laws have any teeth, then they would get the landfill cleaned up. Instead they laugh in our faces, pocket the profits and drag this out as long as the courts let them.
