Santa Rosa aggressive on school crime


Santa Rosa County takes a much more aggressive stance on incidents of crime and violence in its school system. In fact, it reports 92 percent of the most serious crimes to the law, the state percentage is 84 percent. Overall, the Santa Rosa Public School District reported 86 percent of all crime and violence to the law. The state average was 50 percent for the 2009-10 school year.

Escambia County only reported 38 percent of the serious crimes and 32 percent of all crimes to law enforcement for the same period.
