Front Porch grants for Longhollow

missing

There were two other grants that benefited the Longhollow Neighborhood Association:

A Planning Grant for $8800 that built a neighborhood park and a Keep Florida Beautiful grant that built butterfly gardens – one of which is in the Longhollow Neighborhood.

See grant spreadsheets: More grants.

Again nothing appears wrong with this, but the PNJ story should have given a fuller picture of the Front Porch program.

Is it the intention of the statewide program for local board members to get grants that directly benefit their own neighborhoods? Understand I’m not sure it is a conflict – county commissioners and city councilmen have paved roads that benefit their neighborhoods for years.
