Feds aren’t happy with sentence proposal for Nodine

Press Register: Federal prosecutors Thursday objected to the U.S. Probation Office’s conclusion that former Mobile County Commissioner Stephen Nodine should get a sentencing break for “acceptance of responsibility” on a gun charge. Nodine is scheduled to be sentenced Monday for being an unlawful drug user in possession of firearms. Under a preliminary calculation of the advisory sentencing guidelines in the case, he faces a minimum of 10 months in prison. Read more.
