Drilling platforms off the beach may be in Pensacola’s future, if Senate President Mike Haridopolos and Gov. Rick Scott have their way. State Sen. Don Gaetz appears to be in disagreement with the party leaders. He told the St. Pete Times: “I do not detect a strong appetite even among those conservatives whom I represent for drilling in Florida’s sovereign waters. I have been a no vote and I will continue to be a no vote.”
