Off-shore drilling is a coming to Florida. You can count on it. The fix is in. BP and other oil companies were big sponsors of the annual meeting of American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC)Â that was recently held in New Orleans, according to ThinkProgress.com. ALEC “helps” the lawmakers write their bills for their states.
ALEC has fought any limits on offshore drilling and global warming denial. Besides BP, other oil and natural gas companies funding the ALEC conference include:
