Seahawk Doug Baldwin credits PNJ publisher

The Kitsap Sun credits PNJ Publisher Kevin Doyle and former Buffalo Bills’ head coach Kay Stephenson for GBHS grad Doug Baldwin’s scholarship to Stafford and his opportunity with the Seattle Seahawks. It was Doyle, whose son Matt is the director of football operations at Stanford, made a phone call and suggested the Cardinal take a look at Baldwin.

According to the newspaper, Baldwin has a great chance of making the 53-man roster. “In fact, Baldwin has played so well as a slot receiver and returner that speculation has begun to fly that Golden Tate, a second-round pick last year, could be in danger of missing the cut.”
