Panhandle gets $1.5B Solar Farm


National Solar Power of Melbourne announced Monday it has chosen Gadsden County, the county west of Tallahassee, for a $1.5-billion solar power project. The facility will create 120 permanent jobs and 400 construction jobs and produce enough energy to power 32,000 homes. The company was to build eventually 100 such facilities across the state.
