Miss. fishermen still have problems

Capt. Mark Stewart from Gulfport, Miss. called during lunch to tell that the shrimp have disappeared from Morgan City, La. to the Mississippi-Alabama border. “We’re catching shrimps with all sorts of deformities–no tails, no eyeballs, no whiskers,” said Stewart. “BP has killed our industry.”

Stewart and his fellow fishermen have already seen their oysters seasons lost for 2010 and 2011.

“I don’t know how much longer we can hang on,” said Stewart before he signed off.
