The St. Pete Times reports that the federal grand jury investigation that has gotten the Santa Rosa County Commission upset about TEAM Santa Rosa is focusing on the privately-owned state prison that has opened east of Milton. Since March, federal investigators have sought documents and testimony into the $121 million state contract that cleared the way for the Boca Raton-based Geo Group to build the Blackwater Correctional Facility.
The probe has been broad, including not only TEAM Santa Rosa, but also former House Speaker Ray Sansom and future Senate President Don Gaetz, according to the newspaper
