Buzz: Who leaked police report with victim’s name?

There is an investigation taking place into who leaked the report on the active investigation of Assistant Public Defender Tony Henderson? The official report given the daily newspaper and IN had all the narrative redacted, including the alleged victim’s name.

There is a different copy of the report placed on the website LEOaffairs.com, which allows anonymous posting. That version had the narrative, but had redacted all the names, including the officer taking the report.

I did speak with on law enforcement officer and was told the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, State Attorney’s Office and Pensacola Police Department all have computer access to the reports. So the leak had to come from within law enforcement or the judicial system.

The impact of releasing a report on the investigation is still unknown. The victim had a right to believe her identity would be protected, at least until any charges were filed against Henderson.

Was Henderson, his boss – James Owens, or the victim the target of the person who leaked the report?
