Occupy takes a stroll

Heads to Federal Court for Hearing: Occupy Pensacola will be marching from City Hall to the Federal Court building on North Palafox St. today for a hearing to determine the initial legal issues between Occupy Pensacola and the City of Pensacola in seeking a restraining in order to clarify the rights of Occupy Pensacola.

A second emergency motion was filed yesterday for a temporary injunctive relief regarding the definition of a tent as a form of free speech, a clarification on whether or not the City Hall lawn is considered a “park,” and the categorization Occupy Pensacola as a “special event.” Other issues to be covered will be a clear definition of exactly what a sidewalk is, as well as a discourse on the curfew the City has imposed upon the 1st amendment.
