Clara Hendrix said you can’t throw a rock in the woods around Bluff Springs Lake without hitting a dope dealer.

“You don’t dare get out in the woods or you might get in somebody’s pot field and get killed,” said Hendrix, 69, a lifetime resident in the former logging community.

That could change. Law enforcement officials are considering a joint operation to clean the area up.
