Oliver says County never contacted about seats


George Hawthorne claimed last week on this blog that Escambia County had been contacted about the stadium seats that the CMPA bought but later sold of scrap. County Administrator Randy Oliver sent me the following email which states the county’s Park & Recreation Department was never contacted about the availability of the seats—which the Pensacola Blue Wahoos paid over $200,000 to replace.

Michael Rhodes, the County’s Park and Recreation Director, advises me that he was never contacted regarding the bleachers (see below).
