Here is a letter from County Administrator George Touart to Century Mayor Evelyn Hammond about the possible termination of code enforcement in Century. The town had contracted with the county to do its code enforcement. According to Touart, the mayor has objected to the code officers writing up city residents and wants to be personally notified when a violation is discovered.
