No nurse for you!


Superintendent Malcolm Thomas sounds like the “Nurse Nazi” in today’s PNJ article about the state legislature cutting funding for school nurses. Despite having doubled the district’s unrestricted reserves to a record-setting $56.5 million, the superintendent said that he only has funds for nurses at certain schools, those with a high volume of medical issues.

So you may hear next year when your child gets sick at school, “No nurse for you.”
