It’s only funny until someone dies

Maricopa County (Arizona) Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s “pink underwear” for jail inmates may be punishment without legal justification, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in a case involving a mentally unstable person who was not convicted of a crime. The man literally ran himself to death after he was released from the county jail where jailers forcibly stripped off his clothes and dressed him in pink underwear.
