The award-winning New Orleans daily newspaper, Times Picayune, is announcing massive lay-offs today. We are hearing that it will only print three days a week — Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. They will instead focus more on their online edition.
A few weeks ago, PNJ executive editor wrote a column about his paper have troubling with publishing its Monday and Tuesday editions. The Times Picayune could be a signal for other dailies…maybe even our own.
