Scott’s purge of voters’ roll has had little impact on Escambia County

According to Escambia County Supervisor of Elections David Stafford, Escambia County was asked by the Florida Secretary of State to verify three names on the voter rolls.

“One person brought in proof that he is a citizen,” said Stafford. “The family of the second one told us that she had moved to California and we verified that she is registered to vote out there. The third person who haven’t heard from yet, but he was already on our in-active list.”

Stafford told the IN that the only other names with whom he has dealt are convicted felons. “That’s a list we get during the normal course of business.”
