Powell complaint going to grand jury

State Attorney Bill Eddins announced today that allegations involving possible campaign finance violations by John Powell will be presented to the Escambia County Grand Jury. Powell, a candidate for sheriff in Escambia County, is alleged to have violated Florida law by accepting cash donations over the legal limit. This matter is scheduled to be presented to the Grand Jury on July 30.
