Knife Response Team coming


The Independent News expects another press conference soon where the city, county, state and feds join hands to combat knife violence. The goal will be the reduction of knife related violence as well as the arrest and successful prosecution of those who commit knife related crimes. They will promise to set up melee-free zones.

The team will respond to the following types of knife incidents:

Knives in bras and other undergarments
Intentional Knife Slashings (with property damage or injury)
Suspicious Knife Wounds and Knife Wounds to Known Criminals
Illegal Aliens with knives…legal aliens, like Alf, are okay
Homicides (Knife related)
