Most of us may have been through more than our share of hurricanes, but please don’t take this storm for granted. As we learn about Hurricane Issac’s probable landfill, life will get hectic along the Gulf Coast. Fuel up today or tomorrow–our gasoline comes into the area either by barge or truck. The storm could possible shutdown the Gulf Coast refineries.
Snacks, batteries, bottled water and propane or charcoal for your grill are also good ideas. Having worked the EOC for both Ivan and Dennis, water, food and ice are precious and no matter how hard city and county officials work.
