PNJ asks Nixon to resign

The editorial board of the Pensacola News Journal kept its string of consecutive editorials asking for politicians to resign alive by boldly demanding that Richard Nixon resign as president. On Wednesday, the opinion panel called for Superintendent of Schools Jim Paul to step down. Yesterday, the board asked CMPA board member Hugh King, Jr. to resign from the park board.

Today, it’s Richard Nixon. Sure, he’s dead. Sure, he’s no longer president. And, yes, he’s already resigned, but PNJ readers don’t know that.

Pssst, our PNJ insiders tell us they plan to ask Britney Spears to resign tomorrow.
