And AirTran may be leaving Pensacola airport

PNJ’s Carlton Proctor reported yesterday that “well-placed local sources close to City Hall” have told him that Southwest is pulling its subsidiary AirTran from Pensacola International Airport. If so, this could be a major blow to the finances at the airport which has seen its bond rating slip over the past two years and has cash flow issues.
