No undocumented workers in Escambia

WEAR TV reports that while Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties have held raids on undocumented workers since the first of the year, Escambia County has had none.

Scott Haines/Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Spokesman: “Escambia County’s Sheriff’s Office has participated in the initial planning stages of the task force. As far as the operational plans have gone and the actual operational stage of it, as of yet, they have not participated in it.”

This is curious, because it is obvious that the Republican sheriffs of our two neighboring counties believe these raids are good campaign issues.

Now that WEAR TV 3 has pointed out the issue, expect the ECSO to raid a local Mexican restaurant soon.
