Board closes 7 schools

Not here. The Volusia County School Board will close seven schools in three years. The five board members overwhelmingly voted to close the schools, saying they had no choice because they were “held hostage” by a lack of state funding.

Don’t expect that kind of leadership from the Escambia County School Board.
