Picking up pennies, missing the dollars

The local daily newspaper writes on the Myrtle Grove firefighters being upset that County Commissioner Mike Whitehead played golf rather than attended their firehouse celebration.
That’s news? It is more the subject of a letter to the editor or Mark O’Brien’s opines.

Nothing has been written on the Whitehead moving up Roads Inc/Rawson & Co being a last minute add-on to the commission agenda or being awarded two new contracts.

Maybe neither is really news – but if I had to pick one (and I did), I’d chose the Rawson story.

BTW: Nothing on Markes and the comments by Dianna Fitzgerald – although Santa Rosa Press Gazette, Daily News and News Herald have carried the story.
