Cavanaugh up for big job

UWF President John Cavanaugh is one of three finalists to be interviewed today and Wednesday for chancellor of 14 state-owned universities in Pennsylvania, according to AP and the PNJ. This is a wonderful opportunity for Cavanaugh and is an indication of the caliber of leader we have at the University of West Florida.

I don’t want to lose him because UWF has come far under his leadership, but I don’t begrudge him seeking other opportunities.
