Escambia County crime rate down in 2013

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office annual crime report, which has been submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, shows an overall 3.3 percent reduction in total index crimes and a 9.3 percent reduction in violent crimes compared with 2012.

There was also reduction in Domestic Violence Offenses in Escambia County. The total number of Domestic Violence offenses in 2012 were 3,096 and the total Domestic Violence offenses in 2013 were,2,707 with a reduction of -12.56 % (389 offenses.)
