The League of Women Voters Pensacola Bay Area will a forum on Saturday, March 15 at the Tyron Branch Library.
Guest Speaker is Fay Walker. Fay, a 21-year member of LWVPBA, began researching the history of woman suffrage in 1995. She has included the Pensacola Equal Suffrage League’s work in the winning of the vote for women. Her well-documented presentation has enlightened and entertained audiences for 19 years.
The LWV will celebrate Betty Salter, who spent 30-years as the volunteer Executive Director of Pensacola Habitat for Humanity. She helped 750-families achieve their own American dream of home ownership. Betty is this year’s recipient of the League of Women Voters of the Pensacola Bay Area Community Advocate Lifetime Achievement Award.
