Escambia County Long Term Recovery Group forming, May 21 meeting

Over 6,000 families in our community have already registered for FEMA assistance to help them recover from the Spring 2014 flood. If past experience is an indicator, over 600 of those families will need support from case managers, volunteer repair teams, access to donated building materials, financial assistance and much more to support their recovery.

For those reasons, BRACE is reaching out to its Partners and Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster to get involved in helping our community recover. Kathy Broyard, Chair of the Florida Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, will be joining us for our first meeting. The meeting is scheduled: Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 3:30 PM – 5 PM and will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3400 Bayou Blvd. Pensacola, Florida. BRACE regrets the short notice for the meeting.
