Wendell Hall lays off 14, save $620K

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff announced that he is cutting 14 positions by July 11. Hall’s spokesman, Sgt. Scott Haines, told the Daily News that the positions include include crime prevention personnel, administrative assistants, report-takers, clerks, human resources specialists, custodians and purchasers. Also abolished is the Sheriff’s Office Victim Assistance Program.
