The National Flight Academy is excited to announce Delta Air Lines, the official airline of the National Flight Academy, is the sponsor of this week’s summer program. This is the second year in a row that Delta Air Lines has supported the National Flight Academy. Young people in 7th-12th grade participate in an immersive, aviation-themed experience using science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) alongside critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork & communication.

The National Flight Academy’s president, retired Marine Lt. General Duane Thiessen says, “This a great example of a company investing in an innovative program that will positively affect the future of young people. Through Delta’s continued commitment to the National Flight Academy, we are able to impact a broader group of students.”

“The National Flight Academy is focused on developing science and math skills for the next generation of young people,” said Capt. Steve Dickson, senior vice president – Flight Operations at Delta Air Lines. “Delta is committed to supporting programs like the National Flight Academy, which engage students in an interactive program to promote science, technology, engineering and math skills that are vital to both the future of our nation and our business.”
